This theme is the prose version of a poem I wrote once about an incident in my life where I came to the same realization that the ONLY thing in my power is to ask God to change ME. We can plead in prayer for other people and circumstances to change, but it has to begin with our willingness to BE changed. That's two home runs in a row. God has a started a great ministry and encouragement for the saints here. <3

Thank you Joe! I couldn’t believe it when I read the title of your article! It’s been a while, but I have read that book a couple of times. The first time, when I was a young girl. My mother gave it to me. It hit me in the depths of my heart. I read it again as a young woman with the same effect. And now, you use it to remind us all what the real reason for living is! We are so enveloped in the caos of the political world with all the hate that it spews that we forget our true mission in life. It is to LOVE. That is the number one purpose of why we were created!

For some reason I cannot find any of my comments on here nor your responses to them so I could send you a message. I think I am computer impaired sometimes! :) Anyway, I wanted to share something that happened to me recently. A week or so ago I said a prayer to God asking him to lead my older sons to find him. I feel like one of my greatest failures as a parent is that I did not introduce and teach my sons about God when they were small children (they are all adults now). Anyway, the youngest of my 3 sons from my 1st marriage visited me this week and in our conversation he told me he wants to learn more about religion! How about that? God answered my prayer! Have a wonderful day!

Boy did this get to me today. I have a strained relationship with my daughter and I decided a few days ago I will not be angry with her when she is angry towards me. She needs all the love I can give her no matter what she dishes out. Thank you. Blessings to you.
